Maritime Muslim Academy Preschool, 6225 Chebucto Road, is centrally located close to libraries, museums, parks, and Public Gardens. Maritime Muslim Academy Preschool is a fully licensed Pre-school/Day Care Centre. Our programs are designed to give children the necessary enrichment to become confident, happy, and healthy individuals. We do this through a combination of challenges and experiences that provide your child with opportunities for learning and fun. Our qualified, experienced staff knows the importance of children developing positive self esteem. They plan programs that provide your child with many opportunities to grow in the Islamic tradition of MMA. BENEFITS The main emphasis is on socialization, independence and sharing. School readiness skills will be emphasized for those children who will be attending MMA the following September. NUTRITION MMA Preschool will be providing nutritious snacks and lunches according to Canada’s Health Regulation.

Our Program
Maritime Muslim Academy preschool programs are based on weekly themes designed to enrich the classroom environment so that the children are exposed to thematic information in the various play environments. These include dramatic play, block corner, sand and water play, songs, games, table top toys, water and texture play, book corner, puzzles, fine motor activities, arts and crafts. The philosophy of Maritime Muslim Academy Preschool is to develop the whole child by promoting the importance of: a) Social acceptance by developing an understanding of each other. Maritime Muslim Academy follows an emergent curriculum philosophy and understands that learning is a partnership between the child, the family and the Educator.
It is a play based, child directed approach that focuses on the development of the whole child. Our overall goal is to ensure a comfortable environment where children learn in a meaningful and joyful way and where they feel a strong sense of belonging.
