Maritime Muslim Academy (MMA) offers education from Primary (P) to Grade 12 in a safe, Islamic learning environment.

Students must meet the following age requirements as of December 31 of the school year:

  • Primary: 5 years old

Applicants for other grades are admitted based on their age, previous school records, and placement assessment.

The admission process includes:

  1. Complete the online application form.
  2. Submit all required documents.
  3. Pay the application fee (if applicable).
  4. Student entrance assessment (English and Mathematics for applicable grades).
  5. Parent/guardian interview.
  6. Admission decision.
  7. Registration and payment of required fees to secure the student’s seat.
  8. Signing the educational contract and preauthorized payment (PAD) for school fees.

Parents are typically asked to provide:

  • Birth certificate or passport
  • Proof of Canadian status (if applicable)
  • Immunization records
  • Previous report cards or transcripts
  • Any applicable educational or medical assessments
  • Emergency contact information
  • Tuition Fees for Grades P-12 ($6000/year $600/month) subjected to change.

Yes. MMA offers school bus transportation on selected routes, subject to availability.

Yes. Students pay an annual textbook and learning resource fee, which covers textbooks, workbooks, digital resources, and classroom materials. The fee varies by grade level.

Students receive daily Islamic education as part of the regular curriculum, including:

  • 5 classes of Arabic Language/week
  • 3 classes of Qur’an/week
  • 3 classes of Islamic Studies (Deen)/week

Yes. MMA follows the Nova Scotia Public School Curriculum while integrating Islamic values, Arabic language, Qur’an, and Islamic Studies into students’ daily learning.

Yes. All students are required to wear the official MMA school uniform in accordance with the school’s dress code.

Yes. MMA offers English Language Learning (ELL) support for students who require additional assistance in developing their English language skills.
